Coaches

There are three requirements for anyone wishing to coach a CYO sport:

CYO Coaches Training Program - Each coach is required to attend the Coaches Development Program (CDP). CDPs are held at several locations in Greater Cleveland prior to each sports season. You can acquire your coaching credentials after you attend the Coaches Development Program.

VIRTUS Training - Each coach is required to be VIRTUS certified. Coaches must attend one live training entitled "Protecting God's Children". Update bulletins must be completed online each each month after that.

Background Check - Each coach is required to undergo a background check. Fingerprinting can be completed at St. Brendan by appointment.
